Clean ALL feeding utensils and equipment after each feeding: rinse in lukewarm water, wash with a detergent in hot (176°F) water, rinse with clean water (ideally a 10% bleach solution) and dry thoroughly with a ‘clean’ towel.

Reconstituted Puppy-Gro may be refrigerated up to 24 hours. Discard any unused portion after 24 hours.

If warmed in microwave only use medium setting and mix thoroughly and regularly. Check temperature before feeding.

Frequent feeding of small amounts decreases chances of digestive upsets.

Weigh puppy regularly to ensure that they are consuming enough Puppy-Gro.

Puppies should double their weight according to chart above.

If puppies are not gaining enough weight consult your veterinarian.

If puppies are crying excessively, they may not be getting enough to eat or they may be too cold.

Puppies need assistance to help urinate and defecate for the first 2 weeks of life after each feeding. You need to assist by using a warm moist cotton ball and massaging the puppy’s abdomen and anal area until they urinate and or defecate. You must be persistent, this is very important to the puppy’s well being.

Housing and Weaning

Puppies must be housed in a clean, warm, draft-free area.
Air temperature should be 85-90°F for the first week and 80°F for the next 3-4 weeks.

Use a thermometer.
